This Privacy Policy informs you, as a client, about how your personal and sensitive data collected in my practice are handled in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the corresponding ordinance.
Only data that are directly related to the therapeutic treatment or required for information about possible services are processed. These are exclusively data collected with your consent, data you have provided yourself, or data available from publicly accessible sources (telephone directories, etc.).
This may include general personal data (name, address, telephone number, etc.), information relating to your health or medical history, existing diagnoses, and other data transmitted in the context of treatment (client records).
Your data are collected, stored, and processed exclusively in your client file or in the administrative records required for practice management, in particular within the software necessary for billing according to tariff 590. All data processing steps and the responsible persons are traceable within these systems.
Your personal data are disclosed only to individuals or departments within my practice who require them to fulfil contractual or legal obligations. These persons are informed about the applicable data protection regulations and are obliged to comply with them.
Data are disclosed to third parties or external institutions (e.g. insurance companies) only with your explicit consent. Exceptions apply in cases of legal obligations, court orders, or the enforcement of legitimate claims by the practice.
Physically stored data are kept in locked rooms or cabinets inaccessible to unauthorized third parties. Electronically stored data are protected by appropriate security measures (firewall, password protection, etc.). Unless otherwise required by cantonal or federal law, the data collected are deleted twenty years after your last consultation at the practice.
Written communication between you and the practice takes place by e-mail, either using standard encryption methods or – with your written consent – without encryption.
As a current or former client, you may request a copy of all data collected about you at any time in a commonly used electronic format. Physical records will be scanned for this purpose and provided as a PDF file or in paper form. Data are generally provided free of charge within a maximum of 30 days.
The therapist responsible for your treatment is also responsible for all questions regarding the processing of your personal data and the exercise of your rights.
