Anamnesis
With me, you will not receive a standardised massage. As a TEN naturopath (Traditional European Naturopathy), my full understanding of the body’s interconnections flows into every treatment. This is why each session begins with an exchange – forming the basis for a massage that is individually tailored and applied where it is truly needed. This is not out of curiosity, but to ensure safety, quality, and a treatment that is individually appropriate.
In this conversation, we clarify current complaints, known medical conditions, previous injuries, surgeries, or specific sensitivities. This information is essential so that I can adapt the massage to the situation—in terms of pressure, technique, duration, and positioning.
The massage anamnesis helps me assess:
-
whether a massage is currently sensible and safe,
-
which areas of the body should be treated or omitted,
-
and how the massage can be optimally tailored to you.
For follow-up treatments, the anamnesis is usually shorter. It serves to find out:
-
how the previous massage was tolerated,
-
whether symptoms have changed,
-
and if adjustments are desired or necessary.
A mindful anamnesis is an important part of the treatment for me, even for massages. It creates trust and forms the basis for a safe, respectful, and beneficial massage.
